yeah it needs to have the numbers right side up
have a look see here:
This is upside down and that point at the bottom is exactly where the "nipple" sticks out at and as you can see their gasket is worth 2 dead flies! I think they only show this TBS like this to only just stand it up! LoL!! But that confused a lot of LS4 guys on the TBS thread!

Yeah my 200-586 is on top but looking at the car on the left is 200-586, so that means it has to be switched around that 200-586 is readable on the right side. Can't wait to go home now to switch it, 7 hours to go.

So William,
Are we thinking it's the TBS with the whistle/exhaust noise??? I've got one as well that was mocked up from a speed shop where I used to live that had a CNC machine, so it's not one of the ones that have been talked about here on this site. So let me know when you change your's and if there's any dfference....

It can't be normal... I've got full exhaust on my T/A and there are no noises like that. Have riden in many cars that have full exhaust and no noises.... This thing is an exhaust leak somewhere and we will just have to find it....

I know I didn't. I took the word of Chevy that these are reusable up to 5 times.... Maybe was something I shouldn't have done. Probably should have replaced them... Gonna suck if it turns out that these need to be replaced!!!!! All this work all over again!!!!! YUCK!!!!!!!!

I reused the stock gaskets, im going to cut my thick moving blanket and wrap it around the flex pipe tomorrow to see it muffles the sound, if it does im going to call DTH and send up new downpipe collector.

I know some guys replaced thier gaskets and didn't get this sound. I am just throwing this out there. I do not know for sure if this is the case.

GS,

If it is the gaskets I would try to slide the old gasket out and then slide the new one in bracing the header up somehow. I would at least try this before pulling it all apart again.

I used stock gaskets as well. I've had a header leak before at the gasket and could hear a ticking noise at idle, but nothing like that here. I could see it being the flex, let me know how you make out with the blanket William. Good idea. I've got sh*t weather here so might not be able to look into till next week. Probably will run it to my mechanic.

If it's a common thing can Thorley's look into it with Buickracer's car. I haven't heard if he's even had his installed yet. Thorley will be doing the install won't they?

We are gonna put the car up on a lift, one that keeps the wheels free. Gonna drive the car on the lift and see if we can hunt down the sound. Won't be for a week or so as I'm out on the road for work, but will let y'all know what we find out....

I'm gonna bet it's the flex pipe. Common problem. That is IF it was installed properly.
