So I was at the motor show yesterday...
I want to keep 4 doors and a decent trunk - The trunk thing ruled out the Mustang right away.
Ford Taurus? Nice Ecoboost powertrain, but it's an overweight pig with those stupid high window lines borrowed from the Chrysler 300 and Charger.

Hyundai Genesis? Nice styling, 4.6l DOHC putting out 375 hp, RWD, but another heavy pig that's no faster than the GP. List in the $50s for a decently equipped one.
Chrysler? Nothing of note. Challenger is nice, but not what I'm looking for.
Camaro? I'm a long-time GM guy, sorry but IMO the styling is hideous - especially the bright yellow one with carbon fiber shaker hood (also every Cadillac on display
).Spent a lot of time drooling over the selection of Aston Martins, styling is pure sex, but way out of my price range.
Mitsubishi EVO? Worst drivers seat I ever sat in, I'm only 175lb, but my butt wouldn't fit between the monster bolsters of the seat, no way could you sit in it for a 5-hour drive-waterboarding would be a much milder form of torture. Bit too pricey.
Subaru WRX STI? Yeah, now we're talking, rear seats are a bit cramped, but useable. This had possibilities.
I think I'll just keep the GXP until it dies. Maybe hack up the Thorley headers into a configuration that will work with a turbo and beef up the transmission - more affordable than buying new and lots of performance potential.

I'm just surprised at how few vehicles there are in my market segment that appeal to me. Haven't looked at replacing the GXP until now, so never really paid much attention to what was out there.
Current North American auto designs aren't doing anything for me, I really dislike that "gansta" high door narrow window design of the Chrysler 300 and now the Ford Taurus. I see the 300's everywhere, so others must like them...
Cadillac and Acura seem to be going down the road of having as many flat surfaces and sharp edges as possible. Crap, it's a car, not a stealth fighter.
I guess I'll just save my money and hope that something new comes along or find something used that can be customized to my liking.
I was also thinking about selling the GP but i just can't find a car i like enough to justify it.

When I finish turboing the Fiero this summer, I'll have a fairly nimble, moderately quick (looking for high 12's) toy to play with on weekends. Maybe that will get me over the urge to replace the GP.
