The one from TEP is great just not sure if your wife will like it, depends more on the person. Its pretty firm and you can feel it...

geight,

I love the trangsgo kit. I had the ZZP kit in my old trans and barely noticed a difference since that one only comes with spacers. The transgo comes with springs too.

For those of you concerned with what the wife thinks, DON'T. This kit with making it shift faster also makes it shift smoother, that's right I said smoother... She'll actually like it better, my wife does. I can't say enough good things about it. It IS the best kit I have used.

The dealer will not take the accumulator apart to inspect any springs. They all look like a factory parts to begin with. I would not worry about any warranty. It's not like you are putting on a catless downpipe where they'll see it in plain view. You'll be fine.

Does it become smoother over time or was it like that for you to begin with? Because mine its like that, I've only had it in for about a week.

It became smoother when the new fluid had time to break in. Do you have the line pressure higher with a tune too? If so, you may want to scale it back a little bit. I have both the line pressure raised with a tune and the transgo shift kit. I wish I could give you a ride in my car so you could see how it feels.

Well it felt thatway after he trans was built. After the turn, it sorta smoothed it over. Bit. I like the way it feels, just not sure as to. Why it feels that way.

Oh, well that explains it. You have a fresh rebuild which nothing has broken in yet. It should shift like a truck for the first 1000 - 3000 miles until she breaks in. Almost like a young prostitute; they need time to break in. Tight at first, looser after awhile.... lol...

Just give the trans time to break in. It'll be fine.

Default Transgo Kit

Does the Transgo kit work in the 4T65E HD or just the 4T65E? I can get it local for about $47.00.

Works in both. They are the same transmission just the differential is different and the axle that goes into it is different too. Other than that they are identical.

Same here! I emailed Dave at TEP last week and he set me up with the TransGo shift kit, a Hayden tranny cooler, and all the necessary gaskets. Very cool guy to deal with and very helpful in answering questions that to some people, may have had obvious answers.

Unfortunately, I won't get to install it (or my other parts in my deployment pile of goodies) until the end of May, when I am back from Iraq!

so could you say that this shift kit is better for the tranny? or is it going to make it go faster?
