Ok I was able to get to the track for my first runs ever on a track! I was only able to get two runs in and then they had to close the track, someone ran off the track at the end!

RT .614
60' 2.183
1/8th 9.11
1/4 14.07 @ 99.81

2nd run was a 14.95 with a lot of tire spin at the start, I got intimidated by an 11 second Hemi =o

I'm going next Friday and will post results again, this time I should to break into the 13's

If the tranny holds up? I will try to sneak in a run at San Antonio tomorrow. Weather down here is crazy, so it may not happen (1 hour and 2" of rain). K&N cold air with 2.5" from resonator through flowmaster 44's - down to some 255/45/18 goodyear supercar F1's. I'm a virgin , at the track, so not expecting much. Just need to get some numbers before the headers, tune and perhaps a different intake go on - fix or replace transmission could happen first (insert frown).

Question, anyone pulling the left front headlight out so that air gets forced into the knn cone?

Yeah, that's why I really want to slap on some 26" or 27" drag radials and hopefully get that 60' down to a 1.8 or so. That's if I don't sell it for a E46/E92 BMW or C5 first lol

Our suspension setup is so bad, weight transfer is multiplied by DRs and, in my experience, makes for worse traction at the strip. I dropped .2 in the 60' going back to street tires. HOWEVER, some people have different results. I know people standing at the line said they could see light through my subframe the front end picked up so hard.

DR's works well for me. I'd usually get 2.2's at my local strips - drops to 2.0's with the DR's. At well prepped strips, I was getting 2.0's on my street tires, didn't need the DR's.
