You must have some kick *** tracks out there, man.

My best time so far has been accompanied by a 2.2 short time...I won't be going back to the track until the weather cools off so it's gonna be a while before I see if I can get any better.

My local track is horrible, which is why I needed to buy DR's. It's 15 minutes from my house, so it'll do.

To better tracks where they're prepped well, are 2.5-3 hour drives. One I was netting 2.05/6 60 foots on all seasons, but only running 1/8th mile.

I was cutting 2.0s consistently on my sumitomos before the headers...now....not so much lol. If I could get them down there we're talking DEEP 13s if not better.

Nice video for proof. You may have a factory freak and your not tuned?
LOL nice, I'm actually in the Concord area. I work an exit away off highway 680 from that Hilton in Pleasant Hill. I haven't had her on the dyno rollers yet nor tuned; so I'm anxious to see what improvements I can make with DR's or a tune. I can only imagine 1st gear without torque management.

So, I had a little bit keeping traction. I'm going to try launching with TC on. Anyone doing that or is that going to be worse?

TC dosen't bother me one bit. I leave it on most of the time when racing. I works great.

How is the TC managed on these cars? I always turn mine off because I was so used to doing it in my VW. That car was drive by wire and it automatically limited the throttle which in a turbo killed the boost. Someone told me the TC on these cars was somehow done using the brakes which I don't understand.

Stability track controls the brakes and throttle control. TC, just works the throttle and timing I believe.

I have problems with the anti score protection or abuse mode kicking in at times. Not the TC.

TC is brakes, antiscore is throttle.

My antiscore and torque management are GONE. Never looked back!

TC is the brakes, you can hear the ABS kick on when it the tires break loose. I'm going to try it with TC on to help out with my launch.

My advice for those without headers, 2400 launch.

I haven't had a chance to take her to the track yet. I want to see my time stock before I start some mods. You guys are running these times in manual I'm assuming?

If you're untuned, I would try it in tapshift for a few passes, then in auto and see what happens.

Before I got tuned, I left the trans in drive and once the trans shifted into 2nd I moved the shifter down to M and up shifted at 5800-5900rpm. You should just pass through the finish line when you tapshift into 3rd.
stock 2-3 shift in auto is way to early. I think its at 5400. You need 5950 realistically.

And this helped me a lot. Enjoy!
