Looks really good man. You're much better at taking pictures as you work than I am too. Unfortunately, if you do swap the LS6 intake mani on there you'll have to hack that beautiful crossover pipe up.

I used jack stands on the cradle, wrapped a chain around the bumper and used an engine hoist to pick the car up.

nice, first pic is priceless. Its also good to know that we can lift the car high enough with just an engine hoist.

Glad to hear you're gonna get her going again Dave. You got someone to tune her yet?

And now that she's gonna be running, can we finally get our hot date at the track?! It's long overdue!

Looks awesome. Does the X-Over hit the top of the transmission? Looks really close from the pic. If so, I am wrapping the X-Over.

I noticed you didn't have to pull the facia off to get the cradle out...hmmm.

Let us know how it runs with that intake on there.

Isn't that the stock intake? The neck appears to be LS4. Different TB maybe?

stock intake still yup yup

how motor drops... undo 11 bolts, lift chassis up...to tired really to describe it but it's rather simple really just be patient with it and make sure everything is clear on install cause ya only have like 2 inches of play between the wheel wells. Honestly the bitch is all the little ****
1 draining the radiator(drain **** lower pass side bitch to get to and turn without proper tools)
2 removing all the clamps for radiator hoses which pending how it's oriented can either be easy or a nightmare I got lucky with mine.
3. decide if your willing to purge your AC lines or not, I didn't feel like messing with it but if ya really wanna know I'll describe that one later.
4. other little **** I don't wanna think about atm

one thing to note on reinstall make sure to pin the steering coupler to the PS rack and don't be a bone head like me

well ladies here ya go Doug Thorley headers fired up open headers weeeee

I know the intake is stock, we've just never seen a cammed/ header'd LS4 running the stock intake. Just wondering how it runs.

The reason I ask about the facia is because we had to pull the facia on the GXP to get the cradle down. Apparently you don't have to on the impala........that would have been nice.
