I installed LED strips under my headlights. They have an adhesive backing so you just peal and stick them in place. Then you connect the positive & negative wires to a power & ground source and you're in business. I connected them to the ignition fuse with a fuse tap so they are on all the time, or you can also put a switch inline to turn them off or on anytime.

I also put some above my license plate because it had a dark area in the middle.

I get a lot of positive comments about the LED's, and I get a lot of looks from people when I'm driving. Pictures don't do them justice, they look great in person.

Ricers don't have LED's under their headlights.

I have to agree with Nacho SS. LEDs seem rice to me. Why not use Xmas lights and ribbon?? To each, his own, do what you like, but not for me.

This is the reason I put them over my license plate, there was a dark area in the middle after I installed LED bulbs in the factory sockets. And you can't see the LED's, I just used them to light up the plate better.

Most of us strive for our modifications to appear factory. So if they look factory, usually not rice.

That being said, Mel does have a show car, so I guess it's a completely different world than I'm living in. Just the other day the SS got stuck in a mud hole. lmao

RedHotG8-only thing I will say about your leds is for your headlights, you should change your amber side markers to cool white leds to match, the clear led trend is the way most modern new cars are going. IMHO

well i dont know about you guys, but appearance wise both on the outside and under the hood, i'm more about deleting stuff than i am adding stick on parts. i guess if you could call a street car a "bob," then i am looking to bob the monte. less is more, keep it simple, you know the old rule.

i have no badges, no front emblem, no gm chicklets, no grill trim...etc on the outside. im going more for the clean look than adding things to add attention to my car. those lights didn't come from the factory or it wouldn't be a chevrolet, it would be an audi. i have to agree with haulin, if you want it to look like an audi then buy an audi, no sense in convoluting design cues between cars. leave the led strip to the audis, thats their "thing" on all of their cars nowadays already.

as far as under the hood, i deleted the ghey factory engine cover, that black hood retainer and all the white factory designations on the fluid caps have been shaved. all the underhood stickers and decals are gone too. i dont want to draw anymore attention to my engine bay than necessary.

but as in mel's case, he has a show car and i could understand why he wants to do the underhood lights for summer night meets. i guess if you could "hide" them really, really well along with the wiring it wouldn't be a mess. as far as the lights and plate, you guys already the school of thought i come from when it comes to appearance mods.

The LED will be under the radiator support where you can't see them at all just to enhance the chrome at night. I will post pics when finished and tell me if you can see them.
