Default To the guy who ordered custom SSC springs.....

I cant find the thread for the life of me, but I was wondering how long you had to wait for the springs? If I remember correctly you went with 2.0" in the front and kept the ssc offered drop of 1.7" for the rear, is that right?? Did we ever get pics of this, I'm thinking so, but once again I cant find the thread.

What's the quickest way ordering these bad boys anyhow? I've checked out SSC's site and it seems you have to call them, no online purchasing available? I guess I'd have to call them if I do the custom route anyhow, but I'd just like to know what payment options are available.

Joe.

You can't find the thread because it's on ClubGP: http://www.clubgp.com/newforum/tm.asp?m=5219527

I went with a 2.5" drop in the front and 2.0" in the rear. A 0.3" drop difference isn't much, nor is a 0.5" difference.

I am waiting for my 1.5" springs for the rear to achieve that 1" difference.

I honestly cannot remember how long it took to ship (maybe a week or so). I'd hold off on the purchase until this kit is complete. For what it's worth, 2.5" in the front is golden.

EDIT: It looks like they updated their website for the GXP. I would honestly not recommend anyone to purchase that set until I get in touch with them tomorrow. I have an empty trunk and am the only person who uses my vehicle. In my opinion, 2.0" in the rear is pushing it when it comes to a loaded trunk and rear seat.

will this help the look when its done because almost every gp that is lowered seems to always look like the rear is sagging more than the front. i want the car to look level if you know what i mean

No not yet. That'll be an August project. I'm still working on getting my two extra 18x8 Alcoas (soon). If I buy 275s, I rather put them on my extra 18x8s versus messing around with my current 18x8s (don't worry, it makes sense to me, lol).

It should help the look. The 0.5" difference I have at the moment is pretty damn good, but I can still see a slight sag. The sag by no means has to do with the springs, but with the way the vehicle is shaped. Especially our rear rocker panel and rear bumper.

My rear 1.5" are in the works and I should get them in a week or two (I hope, lol). Their website should be updated as well.

If you took the time to read what you quoted above, you'd see how silly your question is.

i have the original ssc springs, advertised drop is 1.7 front/1.5 rear for my car. the springs listed for the gxp are 1.7 front/1.7 rear. the springs you went with are 2.5/2.0.

when are the springs available? and are they being made for monte carlos or gxps only? the p/n is different between the two cars. the last update on ssc's product database is January 2009.
