With hot weather i was doing some scans and noticed that the IAT's Intake Air Temp was reading 111 - 125 degrees.
This has probably been blogged before.
But would wrapping the crossover pipe with exhaust wrap help with lowering IAT's.
I have an Intense FWI. with an amsoil air filter. There is a product that is resolves heat soaked from vector motorsports. but it looks i need to drill into airbox. with the setup I have, which would be the better solution.

I have an Intense FWI and I drilled into the aluminum piece that comes with the FWI. I used a rubber grommet and just stuck the new sensor in. I made my own heat soak reduction kit. I got all the connectors from Casper's Electronics. I think in total it cost me $47.00 for everything. Beats paying $100.00. It works well. My IAT's are about 2 - 4* hotter than the outside air. With this kit you'll never see those temps. unless that's what the actual outside temp. is. Hope this helps.

Here are the parts I used.
G8 MAF connector:

IAT Sensor:
http://www.casperselectronics.com/st...roducts_id=964
36" IAT Extension:
http://www.casperselectronics.com/st...oducts_id=1174
Hope this helps you guys out a bit. You'll still need to drill a hole and buy some grommets. My grommets cost me $3.99 for a bunch of various sizes. The total now is about $69.00. When I did this it was less than $50.00. Still saves about $30.00.

For those of you who have removed the weather stripping....do you hear a lot of air moving?
I can't tell if I can just hear the engine more, or if something is wrong.
