what the hell???!!!! doing my morning walk-around the car this morning, and I notice in my passenger side headlight, that the piece that covers the end of the bulb - it clips in at the top of the housing, is off!!!
thing came out of that slot/notch at the top of the housing, so now it's loose inside the damn headlight. wtf????
don't think I'm gonna be able to get it back into it's notch either - only way in there is through the hole for the bulb... and don't think that's enough room to finagle my fingers in there to get that piece pushed back in to it's slot...

nah... my 5yr/75k mile extended GM warranty expired about 20k miles ago....

yep.... actually, it's at around 93,000 right now... no problems... still on original/stock tranny, solid as a rock... car is still strong as ever... ;-)
as for the headlight issue, well, got it back in there last night... what a PITA that was!!! so, sorry Mel, no pics... hehe... and not extending the warranty... hopefully in about 8 months, that car is gone anyway, and my new Camaro will be sitting in it's place...
if you look at your headlight... you'll see the low beams have that "cap" the covers the end of the bulb... well, look up from there and you'll see it's got an angle bracket that goes into a slot at the top of the housing - that's how that thing attaches...
well, the bracket came out of that slot, so that whole piece was just loose inside the headlight housing...
and gettin it back in was like a fricken brain teaser game - cuz the only way into there to get to anything is just the small hole that the actual light bulb goes into.. so, take the bulb out, then gotta go in through that little hole and try to finagle that thing back into the slot correctly... was like playin fricken Operation...
