Default XM Radio "Refreshing" 3 Times in 20 Minutes

Hey all -

Has anyone seen the issue where the Chevy 6 disk head unit switches to channel 1 while scanning up the presets using the steering wheel controls?

Mine did that 3 times in 20 minutes driving to work today. Just started doing that this week, and I noticed some bad reception in open areas.

FWIW all 36 presets are XM and nothing has changed in the 4 years I've been using them.

Thinking software reflash, hard reset, new head unit???

I have noticed something weird with mine as well. Last week when I would start the car it would be on station 1. I would change the channel and it would go right back to channel 1. Did that like 4 or 5 times in a row. Finally had enough and switched to a CD. Only did it for 2 days and hasn't done it since So I don't think it is the radio

mine would drift channels too, up or down. About the same timeframe. Has not repeated itself.

Completely normal. I love XM but I'm done with it. Good ol CDs for me. Most of what I like, they don't play on the radio or XM for that matter

Yeah they sure get bitchy when it comes to you getting their service and them getting their money. they've tried to sneak in an extra payment a month if I don't pay the bill right away, showing a doubled balanced for the month. I wait to write the check, and I always have to call them and have not them not double bill me.

Speaking of payments, my old XM bill was 12.95 a month, and since the "takeover" it jumped to 14.95. I don't even have online listening added to the account (it was free in the good ole days of XM). I called them and they said it's the new rate....How f*cked up is that

Ha ha - yes the bill was paid!

Yeah that bill is getting up there - I let my XM expire a few months ago but renewed it a couple days later. Sound is much better than FM.

I look at it as 50 cents every time I drive.
