New turbo set up! Group buy
The buying group just closed.
I think we cant make the other guys who want there kit wait.
You should have an email in your bucket from me with all this stuff everyone needs to get going with Kevin.
Good Luck and Cheers!
is your setup on meth? and i posted on your facebook....GOOD TO HEAR YOUR GAINS ON THAT PSI AND NO FMIC!!! Very nice! keep it up...its very cool to have attention of doing something unique! enjoy! i should have some more power out of the rear mount in another month here....going on up to 9.2-9.8psi (10) later part of sept after i put in the springs and pushrods...going with the PAC 1215's and Intense moly pushers...Im not cammed so just stick with a mild upgraded spring and im not changing the lifters....so want to keep it within mechanical limits of the OE lifters with DOD turned off in the tune...let the pushrods pick up and transfer the energy to help those lifters stay efficient for the upgraded springs....i dont need doubles for my setup right now.... then we hit the n2o on the E85 and we are following the predictability right now of the car to take us to around 490-510 whp and well over 510-520 wtq....but we will see lol
GOOD JOB AGAIN!! and see if Kevin will publish you a copy of the dyno graph in RPM instead MPH...we want to see your power band and curve...i dont care how fast you go lol...speed is not important to some lol...
And props to Kevin over there at Cartuning...and all his staff...Great job!! they are classey guys...Kev had a little insight for me in the very beginning when we started...he shared some of his experiences and trials with his front mount with me...
Keep it coming!!

Thanks for the words of support Rossko! Fellow Booster! Right on!
This week we are installing the intercooler, injectors and moving the boost up to 8 psi. We are anticipating putting 420 to 450 to the ground.
There are 2 more R&D projects for this car to come yet. We should see better than 500 whp still at 8 psi when we are done. Keep your fingers crossed!
We used 105 lbs Patriot Gold spring. Im gonna sent you a PM about your pushrods.
Cheers!

Just got off the phone with Kevin getting my deposit in and he expects to be able to ship around the end of next week. Two things for those considering the kit, first is that on the Impala and Monte Carlo, it seems there is a fitment issue that can be solved by installing the end links, sway bar, and struts from a GXP (pretty much a no-brainer for me, the original bits are at 100K miles and could stand replacement anyway.) Second is that the 352 horse dyno number came with the cut-out plate off, essentially unrestricted exhaust. Kevin opined, that through the exhaust system, around 30 horses go away. Either way, the numbers I ran show over 400 horses at the crank which will do just fine for me in the little family car.
Well, 2 kinds of news. Bad news and good news.
First the bad news.
When the buying group got going we had 7 names on the list. More than enough to get everyone a great price. However when we got down to the wire, 2 dropped out for financial reasons. Still enough to move forward at the lowest price. However when crunch time came, 2 more dropped out and couldn't produce the funds. Things are still pretty tough all over and funds are tight for some folks. I think we can all relate to this at one point or another in our lives. It happens.
Now for the good news.
There is always a silver lining in every dark cloud. This means Kevin has 2 kits he is willing to sell to the first 2 buyers that speak up. The real gravy in this deal is he is willing to let them go for the group buy price of 3499.00. However we have a 7 day time limit. After which they will be sold for 3799.00. So if you missed the buying group you can still get in on the deal. If your interested, PM me and I will get you set up. This is a great deal for the folks here at LS1TECH.
Now for the really good news.
We didn't get much work done on the car last week as the temperature was just too high to push the car. It was over 43 degrees C with the humidex and there really would have been no point in finalizing the tune in such extreme heat. This gave me a chance to drive the car around a bit during the cooler weather on the weekend and get some driving impressions together for the non ic kit.
Well, i gotta say i was astounded. I cant say it wakes the car up or makes it super snappy. These would be understatements of the year. Our LS4 are pretty respectable right out of the box as the factory shipped them, but this kit is a complete transformation from respectable straight through to serious track machine.
When you didn't ask for power, it behaved just as mild mannered as its stock counter part. Great gas mileage to boot too. But... at 80 Kph (50mph) if you stand on it, it drops down a gear and smokes the tires like the car was standing still. Its simply amazing. From a low speed one must have both hands on the wheel and your full concentration when you ask for boost. Smokes the tires right through first and straight into second effortlessly. Zero to Jail in 3 seconds.
Wow.
When I was done driving the car, It made me wonder why I was going for the full kit. I cant imagine what that's going to be like. In short the non ic kit impressed the hell out of me. And that's not easy to do. In my life time and driving career I've have many formidable machines to drive on a road course. This kit does indeed transform our mild mannered LS4's into a force to be reckoned with.
To the guys who bought this kit, be prepared for some good ol fashion shock and awe. It will be the best 3500 bucks you ever spent.

raped out of the kit. Kevin's whole focus on his products is quality.
You actually have to see a kit to understand. Its really nice stuff.
Built to last.
Cheers!
The first results of the IC tests are in. Things went very well indeed.
The goal of this first round was to tweak the tune for 91 octane. We hit over 481 WHP which is just over 600 crank horse. This was achieved at 10 lbs of boost.
Next series of runs will be to optimize the tune for 94 octane. We expect to see over 500 WHP @ 10 lbs.
Cheers

Even if you did buy the extra parts, its a muchly needed upgrade for the Monte.
