Default Hsrk

Just bought one today, and I was wondering what size drill bit you all used. Also, for any of you who have it, where did you install it? Pics?
What I really want to do is somehow install it inside the filter if possible.

You can make one for cheaper. Most put it in the intake box or fender near the driver front headlight.

1/2" drill bit...

I put mine in the end of the CAI filter...

I'm going to try a different location also tho... in the silicone intake hose between the MAF and throttle body, so it has more air flowing across it... don't really get a lot of air flow at the end of a filter...

Wow the bit is that big? I thought it would be 1/3" or something lol. But thx Lew.

When you relocate, do you plan on putting it on top of the intake hose, or on the bottom? May be a stupid question??

Also, when you say you put it at the end of the CAI filter, do you mean closer to the throttle body, or closer to the headlight?

So pretty much just stretch it out as far as it can go?

1/3" ??? nah, that sensor is big man... it's not just a thin little wire, hehe...

http://www.vectormotorsports.com/com...b582d3e841.jpg

that end where the red mark is... you gotta be able to get that whole thing in there... and the grommet, I didn't even bother using their grommet... ****'s tight enough with out it! I can't even turn/twist that thing in that hole... doesn't budge...

and when I say in the end, I mean, in the end, by the headlight... the 9" cone filter that comes with the CAI intake, has a black rubber end... I drilled the hole right in the center of that end cap, and put the sensor in there...

as for the intake hose, when I do it, I'm not putting it in the top OR the bottom... I'm putting it in from the side opposite of the engine, so it's furthest away from the direct heat...

if you take your headlight out, there is a small hole behind the plastic that can be drilled out and used

I put mine inside the airbox, in the rubber connector part of the cone filter. I figured its away from the engine heat and should pick up air flow as its pulled into the intake hose. Seems to work well so far.
