I have the down pipe and high flow cat on my ride! If I purchase the headers, can I keep the down pipe?

Thanks

i might be interested in this, how many people do you have lined up for this so far? and how much time and work would you estimate to install these headers?

Probably half a day. It's not super difficult, but the tranny dipstick sucks.

Look at the install pictures that Mel had up. It can be done with jack stands or ramps probably.

Bought a pair of headers from the first order, with the terrible "whistle" as people called it. Sounds more like a leak anyways.

Called them to bitch, and without any hastle they are making me a new section with the improved flex portion, said that it was an "oversight" of theirs, and appologized. So I am very happy with the service, not sure how many people tried doing this before customizing their own, but this worked for me.

trans dipstick was a pain here as well, but was our falult. We did not install at the same time as the back header as the instructions stated from DT

So, I could do this with some basic hand tools and a floor jack? Would I have to get re-tuned because the headers throw off the fuel maps? Also, WHEN CAN WE DO THIS! I AM READY! DT has instructions for this (awesome)? Why is the tranny dip stick the difficult part?

BINGO!

I've only been saying this since the beginning.

I'm glad somebody finally decided to bitch and get theirs sorted out.

Good job and congrats.

yes the flex pipe is the updated one (thats what they say) you can use the stock downpipe, but it needs to be cut, I had a muffler shop to make me a new DP section.

Kinda a basic ? but im still learning about my engine. but when i look up other headers and see other people mods. The stock exhaust on the 2006 monte ss is 2.5 but they show a lot of diffrent sizes so im not sure if mine was upgraded to 2.5 before i bought it or it came that way.but besides all that who ever is in charge of the group buy im in..
