What size pipe did you use when you did the res delete. Is it 2.5"

I just went to my local exhaust shop and had them chop it off and re-weld the same size pipe as my cat-back system. It only cost like $25 and 20 min of my time.

I am going to by the pipe and have a friend weld it in for me. Does anyone know how long of a pipe I should get I was thinking like a 3 foot pipe to start off with would be more then enough.

He shouldn't need that much. Go crawl under and measure but I think that is a bit long.

Best money I ever spent on the car was replacing that resonator.

What kind of sound do you get from cutting out the resonator on a stock car? Is it more V8 sounding vs the smooth stock sound?

Yes, most people prefer the sound of my car over the sound of a stock GTO... Though I think they are nuts.

It is slightly raspy, and definitely much deeper. Not a whole lot louder but definitely sounds better than with it.

The Magnaflow Exhaust certainly sounds better but you cannot go wrong for 40 bucks.

I'd like to hear a car with stock exhaust and the resonator deleted if anyone has a video.

Mine sounds much deeper and is only raspy when I stab the throttle in neutral or park when the RPM's fall to idle. I can tell you that it is much more pronounced in the cabin of the car though. It rattles my console sometimes when driving. Kinda annoying, but nothing a little HUSH mat cant cure.

Sounds quite a bit different when the car is revved, but even with my subwoofer turned all the way on, I'm not hearing a huge difference. Sounds about as loud, just a little more raspy.
