intense racing fwi

intense racing fwi so im real close to ordering the fender well intake from intense racing. it doesn't look as nice as the two hundred dollar one from w-body store.( and is half the price). But does anyone here have it? and will it actually give me some performance gains? thanks guys!

Don't buy that pos jmb from the wbodystore no matter what.
I think the intense should do you well. I've built similar fwi with tubing from zzp that looks almost the same as the intense.

I have it, and like it. I installed it at the same time as the headers though, so I cant say how much of the gain was from which mod. But for the price difference you cant go wrong. It's not too much of an eye-sore:

I'd just go with a 3.5" tubing, like the one intense sells.
I went with an amsoil filter.

It doesn't look like the one pictured as they show one on a 3800 application.
The filter doesn't go all the way into the fender, it sticks into the engine bay about 1 to 2 inches. All they give you with the kit is a few couples, a piece of aluminum pipe and an s&b filter.
It's definitely not worth the price.

If you're not afraid and have the tools to do some clearancing on your innder fender, you can make your own pretty easily.
Mine is done and in the car, but it needs to be cleaned up / finished.
The cost if I have it powder coated will be right around $200, but you may be able to do it cheaper.
To be honest i'm too lazy to search and link, but if you search "build your own fwi" you should probably find it.
