That's what I figured had to happen knowing they were different.

I wish I had more time and money to grab a 6t75

Have you got the full kit to mount the starter, or willing to sell me the prototype oil pan?

I had zero involvement with the LS2/6T75 swap, but I am familiar with the details of it.

The 6T75 will not bolt up to the LS4. The 6T70 will though.

The 6T75 has a four bolt torque converter with the new GM High Feature bolt pattern.

The 6T70 has a three bolt torque converter with the GM metric bolt pattern.

Yeah, it looks like I didn't pay enough attention to the adapter plate. The new pattern on it isn't the GM Metric one, but the High Feature V6 one. Here is a pic of the transmission he used (clearly not the GM Metric pattern):

I did some checking and couldn't find any applications with the 6T75 with the GM Metric pattern. The 6T70 did some in both the GM Metric and High Feature V6 patterns.

I don't imagine the 6T70 holding up to the LS4 eh.

Every time I roll through WOT in this car I think damn wouldn't an extra gear or 2 be great!

You could swap the guts from the 6T75 into the 6T70 case. The ribbed case was one of the differences, but you would get all the other good parts.

And it is a lot of fun rowing an LS4 through 6 gears... with a manual.

What I do like though is grabbing a 6.2 or 6.0 and dropping it on a 6t75 and fit all the ls4 accessories on and moving out.

So I guess the general consensus is it won't work in a W-body?

I would love to have that trans with my L67.

Default LS4 to 6t75 transmission

Im hoping this can still be possible... I have both a 6t70 and a 6t75 but i want to put the ls4 into my 2008 Saturn Outlook... The 3.6 doesnt quite cut it plus needs a rebuild or replacing at this point and imo not worth buying another if i can buy an ls4 instead. Last comment I seen was a snag about it fitting into the w body with the mods. My question is it possible to make it fit in the Saturn?
