CTS-V brakes
...And I bet your thinking "Oh god, not another one of these threads." Oh but it isn't one of those threads. After seeing a thread on here about Z06 brakes, I did a lot of research for months on end and MANY MANY MANY phone calls later, I am able to present you all with results. Here is a link to the how-to and what not for what I did.

And just for the heck of it, so you don't have to click a link. Pictures:

Great success!! Does it 'ENDO'? Any solid performance numbers? Rough amount of feet it took off from 60? Repeated hammering. I have never had a problem with mine just curious! Looks very nice.

I got my rotors from RockAuto. Centric Part number 12061089
2005 were mine, any year first gen CTS-V should do it.
These puppies grab and can engage ABS pretty easy if you really clamp down on them, and after numerous hits they still hold up fine (I run a nice brake fluid in my system). Also the break pedal feel is actually pretty nice, I have less brake pedal travel than when I ran a 12" Vette brake setup.

I'm wondering how much "better" these are than the GXP PBR setup that comes from the factory. I mean I thought we had almost 13" rotors up front with 2 piston PBR calipers. I'm no genius but I thought the braking on our cars was pretty good to begin with...
Edit: I'm seeing this isn't on a GXP now so it makes more sense lol

I was thinking that Since I'm a Comp G, they will get some Comp G decals.

I plan to update that thread on GPF.net periodically, Wednesday I will post more pictures of how the Brake line is setup and couple other things, since I suck at pictures and some of them are blurry.
And as an added note, you could change out the CTS-V's for Z06's, but I'd put money that you need to have 19" wheels since I do believe they are a much larger caliper, but I'm not sure. CTS-V's are identical in bolt up to the G8 GXP/'10+ Camaro calipers, which are pretty much the same calipers actually, just different part and pad numbers, but use the same rotor size. Lastly Evo 8 & 9s Ran the exact same calipers as the CTS-V's so you could look for them as well.

i got an 06 impala and im 99 percent sure that we have a 14mm bolt instead than the 12 mm on the older 12mm bolt so this might not be bolt up.at least without swapping spindles..

You have the same spindle that every w-body from 97-present has.
