Raced a 2011 charger rt
I left the gym yesterday after playing ball and this guy I was balling with had a gray charger rt. It was beautiful. Everyone was gawking on it and I asked him is it fast. He said yeah probably the fastest car in this lot right now. So I ate that comment. I asked him has he ever cut it loose and he said all the time. So I said let's line up our cars. He said where is your car and I point to my impala sitting 2 rows down and he said you're gonna race me in that six cylinder? I beat them all the time. So I said this ain't no six. So I started it up and everyone that was left was like damn wtf is that? So after a few revs of my engine we line up where the road stretches for at least a mile and sons change. So the light turns green and I have the best launch I've ever had in my life. So I had about a car on him once I'm in second. Once i got to about 80 he started to get a little closer and I kept him at a half of car until we both slow it down. He had a confused look on his face when we finally got to the light and asked me if I had an engine swap. I'll see him today hopefully at the gym so I can laugh at him some more. Real cool guy tho just thought because he bought a new car it was going to be automatically faster. Had to share this story with my LS4 brethren

Lol that's what I was thinking. It was a beautiful car none the less. Fully loaded, the sport racing seats, sounded good for stock but his eyes got wide when I turned mine on.

Online I saw they are to run 13.9-14.2 stock. They have better gearing than the last gen I believe but are also heavier by 100 more pounds or so.

According to this...not really.
http://www.insideline.com/dodge/char...neral-lee.html
Its a good ways down on the right where it shows the specs.
370hp/395tq
13.7@102.8
13.9@102.5 w/ trac on
I figured they'd be a bit faster than that, but I guess they're still pretty heavy. So on the street with a noob-ish driver, we'd be pretty even with them.
I bet if you get someone that knows how to drive and put some tires on them they'll break into the low 13's all stock.
They're still really good looking cars!
Nice kill none the less! Should have told him it was v6 with exhaust!

Ya nice kill, but I wonder if the 2011 charger responds as well to mods as the earlier models did? I've seen some of those cars (2006-2010 chargers) pick up a lot by just doing some simple mods like a intake, exhaust, and a tune. **** I wish the Ls4 would do that

Our cars are not dyno queens.
Stock GXP's trap 98-99mph. Every 1mph gained is considered 10whp. You are making about 200 whp more the stock! Screw dyno's, cause there was a guy at our local track (2002 Trans Am) who dyno'd 430whp and was trapping 118 in the 1/4. His car was an auto an weighed 3850. I trapped 111 and weigh 3850-3900 so he was like dam! Dyno's lie dude.
Buddy has a mild 6.0 GTO who traps 105ish and he dyno'd 310 whp weighing close to 4000.
