Default What's a dealer going to charge me for.......

Just curious to know if anyone has had a new keyless remote programmed by a dealer and what was the cost?? I called two different local dealers and neither service dept. would answer, go figure. Just trying to get a round-a-bout price for how much I'm about to get raped for.

I tried to solder my existing remote where the battery cover fell off, but to no avail. And yes, the battery is still good because the trunk will open all day long. I'm wanting to get my remote start functioning before the cold weather really sets in.

Thanks in advance.

Joe.

Usally 1 hour labor even though it takes about 5min to do. Do a search instruction are here for that, Fbodys you pull the radio fuse turn the key off and on I think 3x and press the button you want to program. Its in the owners manual.

My dealer does it for free since it takes a few minutes. Call around and you might find a dealer that will do it for no charge.

He will need a Tech II scanner to program the remote.

Good find, I should have looked at GPONA since I'm a member. The info I found must have been about the 07 and up GP.

If the trunk popper is working, then I would think the pads on the key fob are worn out. I thought someone posted something up about fixing that with an old calculator?
