Has anyone else had this problem?

Mine was like that when I replaced my trans as well,TOO MANY BURN OUTS

1 flogg it pulling out of a parking lot

2trans slips out,

3 run it to 6k

4 trans catches next gear

5 destruction of hub

in its own defense i cant believe the car made it home from the drag strip the night before

It's my wife's car. She does have a lead foot, but a car with an SS badge should be able to handle someone mashing the loud pedal from time to time.

I think the top mount bushing is shot too. There is a lot of play in it.

BTW ... This was a royal pain in the *** to remove and replace.

Your signature shows that you have polyurethane upper mount bushing and a polyurethane trans mount. Where did you get them?

will the zzp motor mount work for the lower I know they will work on the upper one

they are replacing my trans today and found that the front mount is sheared from the rev slamming the trans was doing

The trans mount I bought used,I think zzp sell that not sure.As for the upper mount I bought from the w-body store.

More good news ... after replacing the lower front engine mount the clunk was replaced by a "popping" sound.

AND while driving it I got a p0306 CEL. Probably unrelated, but more annoying than the popping.
