I was driving the beast today and all of the sudden the airbag light on the dash came on. I pulled into a parking lot and turned the car off and started it back up and the light went off and never came back on. Has anyone had this happen before im a little worried that it came on and a little searching on the net hasent revieled much so i figured i would ask the group that knows these cars better than anyone.

Mine comes on quite often. I think it has something to do with the sensor in the seat. I'll be driving, everything will be just fine and I'll see it come on. I usually just squirm around in my seat and it goes off. Lol. When my wife rides with me sometimes it doesn't recognize her and the airbag stays off. With a little adjustment it comes on. Then again she's like a buck ten. Lol

Mine just started doing this. So far it's only when I have a passenger. It'll randomly turn off the passenger side airbag with someone sitting in it and will also flick on the driver airbag light. It goes off when it feels like it lol. Is there any little fix for this without going to the stealership i wonder?

Yeah, mine's done this for about a year. It's on the list to fix some day (read: never ).

Will the airbags still go off in a crash though? Lol. If you find a fix, other than going to the dealership let us know.

Mine did that and all I had to fix it was take off the trim around the cd player(on the impala) and the plug was a little loose. Hope that solves it!

Ya I did that but it seemed like it was snug. Hasn't done it yet though. Usually need to get up to 60 before it starts. Seems speed related.
