My point is, you won't see any of these LS4 guys going on Ford sites and talking **** because we know that high-13's to mid 14's isn't really all that fast. In fact, in the scheme of things, it's pretty, slow. Especially if it's a so-called pony car like a Mustang that people seem to automatically assume is fast. Now, if you came in here with a new 5.0 or even a Terminator Cobra, I'd still call you troll, but at least you could talk some **** because you'd actually have a fast car and not some joke SN95 powered by a bolt-on 2V boat anchor.

As far as who likes me or not, I'm not really concerned. I've actually contributed something to this community and helped people along the way, and while I may have rubbed a few folks the wrong way, it was usually because they came in here talking **** about stuff they knew little about. Or they were trolls like you.

So, run a long and have fun with your mid-13 second clap-trap. We get the point: You're a smart-guy internet gangsta, but thankfully, you'll soon get bored jacking yourself off in the FWD section and will soon be moving on.
Wha dude, fewer posts, more reading! You just jumped in without knowing what's going on at all- catch up on the reading. I have a Mach 1 (that's the 32V, not a 16V- remember my signature? ).. I still don't think I'm here talking any crap. My 6 posts here might not be the most useful so far, but I have helped others a lot elsewhere too.

Can't wait to see the T/A. Sounds awesome. That's an awesome year
I hear ya, I used to fly my Dad's twin Cessna 310. Cars felt slow after that.

My bad...I always confuse the Mach 1 with the earlier Bullitt, which was a 16V motor. They all look the same to me.

That all said, there's nothing for me to catch up on...I posted on this thread before you decided to even sign up on LS1Tech, so it looks like I'm not the one that needs to read the whole thread. Anyway, your point is clear: You think the 13-14 second bracket is fast and I don't agree.

And I'm not knocking the LS4 cars either. They are what they are: Decent performers in bolt-on trim, and can be made to haul *** with some $$ dropped into them. They were never intended to be hardcore performance sedans, and the folks here with bolt-on cars don't have any illusions about that.

(This will be interesting) Dunno. No tracks around here.. I'd love to if there were. I'm one heck of a bench racer though! This kid has time slips with runs good for 13s, so probably low 13s. Heck, better be since it's supposed to run 13.1x factory LOL. ..
So from what I've learned with my short time here at LS1tech, I'm just 1 notch above "slower than Sh*t"

I'm just curious why is that 2G DSM considered built? But your Mach should def run low 13s and with a good driver 12s without a problem, but a set of 4.30s,long tubes, and sticky tires would help a whole lot.

Well, after it blew the ..second, third, fourth time it was running on some new hard core bottom end work with a bigger turbo, huge intercooler, some wideband blah blah and gutted interior. He also "beat 320RWHP Mustangs and 600HP IROCZ Camaros all day long," so I guess that's considered "built" in their world.
Yeah, I wanted to do 4.30s and SLP headers that go right into my slp x pipe (Yes, SLP boys! I'm not so bad afterall), and I even had some comp 106100 cams in the works but decided to wait since I'm in my first place and bought my wife a nicer car. It was the right decision for now. I might end up doing the Eaton blower swap someday but I want all supporting mods first.

Oh yeah trust me I understand priorities. That's why I ended up with a imp SS. Needed a nice 4 door car, and wanted something that was still quick. Haha not all DSM guys are like that...I've owned a couple lol. I actually really like the 1G cars, and wish I still had my last one. Theres one at the track I go to that run 8.9X in the 1/4 now I consider that built lol.

That sucks, my local track is a 25 minute drive from me. Gears and longtubes are a must for that Mach!

I agree. The reason I also want the comp 106100 cams is because they are designed to compliment the 4.30 ratio while netting 40HP. I would probably do the cams before the headers as I flow unrestricted now, and the cams would be a bigger bang for the buck.
Be glad you guys only have 1 cam to replace!
