Seriously considering selling
I went on a small road trip about an hour away just to test drive a 2007 Jeep SRT8. All I can say is WOW. I have been trying to talk the wife into looking at one for sometime now. Now the next thing is getting her to let the GP go as she loves it to much. Though after driving the Jeep I think she might come around. I have been looking for one for some time since I can't get a Sy/Ty. I know they're out there but you either get one that has been beat to crap or one with little miles and cost to much so this is the next best thing.

I'm just not a fan of the SS. Most I see are rear wheel drive and like most things GM dose to many option groups at least when I type in SRT8 in the search I know I'm getting more than just a SS badge.

I did suck it down in the few miles drive it but them again the GP sucks it down too. Idk for some reason mine doesn't get that great of mileage either. But the one thing I do look forward to is not having to worry about the trans. I mean if I were to put2500 into the trans and another 2500 into bolt ons I still wouldn't see 400hp. Now put that money into a supercharger for the SRT and I'm pushing 580+. And with Brembo's what after market would you need

I sold my first GXP to buy a 05 GC Limited loaded with the HEMI and everything. Mind you it wasn't the SRT8 but the 5.7 wasn't a slouch either. I hated it though. I thought it was the perfect buy at the time but 5 months later it was sold. Guess what I bought? Check the sig!

It felt very common in the town I live in. With a SRT you wouldnt have thatroblem. The reliability wasn't too great, it ate through brakes, had problems with the air bag system, the MDS is a joke, and the exhaust had a tick coming from the headers. Mind you, it had low miles. The worst was gas mileage. It had a 2" lift, just to give it a little stockier look and my average in 55mph driving was 10.5. Yes I used premium and the dealer said nothing was mechanically wrong. Oh and the power steering pump went out in it while I had it as well.
It is a very capable vehicle, and you may not have the same trouble i did. The navigation system, audio, engine and fit and finish was great! It just felt like they didn't refine the car enough.

The srt8 is faster and more for performance. it feels more race car. tbss is more truck like. I was able to find a much better deal on chevy. With $300 in mods ran a 13.7. Awd. Not bad. Either way I would say let her decide. Both are nice upgrades.

Personally I would much rather have the srt8 they look better, nicer interior, better factory sound system, and last but hardly least they are faster. And one big thing I can't remember is . Does. The SS have Brembo's

to those who claim the SRT8 Jeeps are faster, you seriously might want to consider doing some more research...I do like the way the SRT8s look better (not enough to justify the $ difference though, plus you can't tow with them and the TBSS definitely IS the route to go if you want to build a fast SUV....

As much as I do like the TBSS, I like the SRT8 better. It's worth the money. Brembo brakes, better interior, better factory sound system, faster, and it's fun to drive. Not saying the SS isn't fun to drive because I haven't driven one, but the srt8 doesn't feel like a SUV.

Way better aftermarket
for the TBSS because of the LS engine. Pretty easy to mod if you are interested in that. Pretty much handle about as well as the Jeep. They also have upgraded brakes and stop quite well.

With the $5k you save buying a tbss, supercharge it and smoke the srt8's. $5k for nicer seats, 25hp and brakes that last about 10k miles is not worth it to me. But I am a little buyest.
