Default how much did it cost YOU for a new transmission?

my tranny is finally out (104,000 miles), changed fluid filter once at 85,000 miles along with a shift kit.

debating if i want to fix myself or send off to get it fixed or just cut my losses and sell.

I am curious as to how much it cost total for some of yall to get your car back on the road.
thanks yall!

Total for mine, counting travel expenses (shipping if not going to TEP is about the same) was ~3k.

$2700 to TEP for parts and shipping, and about $800 to a local shop to install.

2300 including labor by a family friends shop and a remanufactured transmission...I didn't get one, this is just what I was quoted...Trans has randomly been working OKAY these last two weeks, compared to about a month ago where I thought it would blow up, lol.

I'm giving MadDog Transmission a shot, I have been talking with them and they sound pretty excited. $2k to ship and performance rebuild, no price on converter yet I want a higher stall, and $600 for my mechanic to stab it. I'll be around $3200-$3500

my trans is completely done, i could drive it but it slips stupid bad. it will slip and hit the rev limiter then , "Bam!", it will slam into gear . its done for, and when it started slipping really bad on the way home it got to about 290 F and the seals just melted away and it leaked out or most of the trans fluid.

$3200 - the shopped picked it up from my house, rebuilt, replaced some trans lines, installed 24k front mount trans cooler and bypassed factory cooler. Trans temps don't go above 175* even in city driving, I drive 200 miles a day in the car
