Nice video. Could be very useful. Let us know how it performs. I may go this route instead of the one I bought off jegs. The hoses seem to simplify the process.

Thanks I have noticed a difference of probably 20 to 30 degreesand I do agree that the hoses made it simpler than trying to cut and put hose clamps on

I don't know why people keep using the factory coolers with auxiliary ones to each his own and if you're going to mount your cooler verticly your output from the stock cooler need to be on top and then return on bottom to the trans

People use the factory cooler because an auxiliary of that size isnt made to be a dedicated unit especially in a DD application. Once I get mine, it will go through the radiator, then an auxiliary cooler before returning to the trans. You have more cooling capcity going through 2 cores and holding that much more fluid.

What people don't realize is there are built in tables in the transmission that lower pressure and up shift times when cold to allow for quicker warmup IMO trying to heat up your fluid is redundant with these cars

There has been days where after a 5-10 minutes of warm up of the car before I leave for work tranny temp just barely gets over 65* on a 25-30minute drive home. This is why mine runs through the factory cooler first. To each there own, but for my situations its the better option for me. Ideally I would like to just run the large bar-in-plate cooler I have plus maybe another one but only if it was controlled by a thermostat

So from TEP the hard line to AN fitting is already installed? I've been putting it off for that reason on what I want to do and that would obviously make it easier than easy if the lines were assembled already. I may have to look into this kit.

Not to dig up a thread from last year, but I'm installing my TEP cooler this weekend along with a trans fluid change and filter. The only way this cooler can be installed in vertically. They (TEP) even write with a sharpie on one of the brackets that this particular bracket mounts to hood release bolt. If TEP says it goes that way it goes that way.... then again thats JMHO

You must have bought their inline cooler. The standalone coolers go in horizontally.

Hey Id rather use it stand alone and not tap into the top rad trans cooler line. The guys video shows he taps into the top cooler line in the rad. I haven't researched your thread yet 91parkave. Thanks

I only looked under my car once. I only saw the one fitting for the cooler line facing front of car. Is there a plug or fitting that is right beside the other one which faces straight up that I missed? How the Hell do you mount it horizontily ? Now I dont have enough braided line to reach back to the trans if both trans lines mount an inch from eachother and wasted money.

That would be their inline cooler. The standalone you have to special order (not listed on his site) and is about $50 more than that.
