Mods for my 2008 Impala SS

Just recently purchased a 2008 Impala SS. Im looking for some advice as far as some aftermarket mods I can do to make it faster. I was thinking Flowmaster 40 series, Same as my suburban except duals, Also I was looking at a DiabloSport Tuner.. I know that the Impala is a 4 speed, but do they also make shift kits for them? I know a friend who has a 2004 Z71 and he added a shift kit to his.. Im looking for advice on what I should do to mine. Last thing I'll probably do is rims. I was looking into the Irocs in a 22. I know the standard as far as K&N once I do my exhaust, and the Tune should be enough, But what about headers?

I probably wouldnt put headers on it.

This. Especially if you have a shift kit. And if you own any car with SS badges on it and put 22 inch rims on it you should promptly kill yourself.

And skip the Chokemaster mufflers. They may sound good, but they flow worse than stock.

I'd have to disagree...I gained 50 hp just by adding flows and a gtr sticker. Beside bitches love flowmasters.

Have our cars reached the point that LS1's did back in 08/09?
Dirt cheap, younger crowd, etc.
