Anyone have any experience with these headlight covers? I want to paint them silver to match the car, is that possible? I know the rear slotted covers are ABS and state they can be painted, but these don't mention it.

They can be, but it's going to be hard to color match. I've seen them done before, I wasn't a fan of the look.

Painting would be better and retros refer to projector fitted stock headlights

I just like the look, I wasn't going for projector headlights. In both cars we've had them on I've hated them, all the light was too low to the ground for my liking.

I could probably paint them, I ended up doing that on a previous vehicle. I'm just such a perfectionist I'd drive myself crazy being nitpicky on it.

I just got a quote of $200 to clean the lights, paint both sets of covers with base/clear, and install. I don't know if that's good or bad.

You'll have 10x the light output you'll ever have with stock housings without blinding the **** out of people.


But of course its on you. I could painted the housings white but the color never matched so I went all black .
