adjust headlights?

Default adjust headlights?

Hey guys do u kno how i can adjust my headlight bulbs? They seem like they point down at the road and not outwards. I cant just bend the bulbs right?

I just put nokya hyper yellow bulbs in, theyre pretty sweet and bright, just had this issue since ive had the car with it seeming like they point downwards. Bulbs are in perfectly straight so im confused

You need to adjust the housings rather than the bulbs in the them. If they bulbs are not fitting in the housing correctly, that is a problem that needs to be fixed. The housings have the reflectors that reflect the light out in a certain direction. Adjusting those will impact where the light is.

Do you have projectors or factory style housings? You should be able to adjust the housings. No need to split the housings open.

Just for conversations sake if I told you you have to bend the bulbs (and not use the grey adjuster on the top of the housing) which part of the bulb would you bend?

Haha, the ones i just put in give way bc when i opened them one bulb was bent a little to one side so i just moved it back straight

The base of the bulb can be moved where it goes into the adapter. Only thing is...idk if i moved it, the way it is in the headlight, i might move it left to right not up or down

You're scaring me man. The angle of the bulb doesn't change the angle of the light. Changing the angle of the lense it reflects off of does. Use the grey adjusters. Usually they're a nut with a torx imprint in the middle.

Haha didnt mean to scare you, never had to adjust a headlight in my entire life. Of all things i can do on my car this one is a first lol. THanks for the info as usual bud

Be careful though if you over adjust them in either direction the adjuster will seperate inside the headlight. Then you will have to seperate the housingto fix it.

Ahhh yea gotcha thanks. Maybe ill do it when were not getting 4 inches of snow everyday in 10 degree weather. Ny sucks

I don't do to bad in anything under 3-4 inches. I bought a new awd caddy srx. Thats my snow beast.

Hahah niccce! Well i have 16" steel rims up front with used tires which are fine but theyre definatley not meant for anything but dry roads haha. The tread is so shallow

Every year my buddy throws a set of 185/65/16s studded snow tires on his malibu and it does fine. theyre fairly cheap too.

Yea next year im definatley investing in some sort of snow tires or studded. Cuz it gets pretty scary when its bad out
