Default Coilovers monte carlo SS

Ok , so i found some instructions on how to make coilovers. I was going to go with KYB AGX but when i received them in the mail one of the shocks was completly busted and had failed so i returned all 4.

I've had complications understanding what is what with all the bilstien HD , comfort VS AC Delco part numbers , VS GM part numbers.

Whats anoying is GM list the same part numbers for LS/LT/SS 2002,2003,2004,all the way to 2007 as the same part numbers which i find hard to beleive.

So what is the REAL part # of the FE4 Suspention on the 06 monte carlo SS's for just straight exact replacement

Links to wherever you find this would be awesome , i'm pulling my hair out with all this bull i wish bilstien would just make the HD's again.....

I found some other threads off of the one you posted, I'm not sure if we are talking about the same thread but i dont remember being a mention as to which strut you used exactly,

I'm assuming you meant

Front: 505-548
Rear: 505-549

as these are what ive found for the GXP's

Anyways , Thanks as usual your always first to respond. I got everything in to put the coil overs together so i'm sure i'll be asking more questions, just need the strut now.

Those are correct but out of stock again. As far as the mounts go you know modification will be needed right?

For some clarification:

OEM GXP Bilsteins are tuned by GM and fit in between the B6 (C) Comfort and B6 (HD) Heavy Duty. I believe most people go for the HDs.

B6 (C) Comfort:

Front: 35-153375
Rear: 35-153382

B6 (HD) Heavy Duty:

Front: 35-153153
Rear: 35-153160

All can be found on Amazon and are pricey.

EDIT: I'll be going with the B6 (C) Comfort struts.

OEM GXP AC Delco part numbers:

Front: 505-548
Rear: 505-549

OEM Super AC Delco part numbers:

Front: 506-682
Rear: 506-664
