im sure granatelli's are made really well, but their claims of adding 20hp just through spark plug wires alone are an absolute ****** joke, theres nothing about how spark plug wires and spark plugs work that can add additional horsepower. You can regain horsepower if your plugs and wires are bad, but you won't add anything by spending 300 dollars on wires.

no, because id never EVER spend that much money on spark plug wires, my taylor wires were 25ohm's on every single wire for 58 bucks shipped on amazon with 2 day shipping. There's a whole thread on the granatelli's here... https://ls1tech.com/forums/dynamomet...lli-wires.html

read some of the comments on the outrageous claims.

i know I'm not getting that but on my bike i got almost 5 hp more on dyno just going with pulstar and access 300 wires to push over 100 so its proven that different combos will work i actually ran autolite plugs in everything i owned until i found out about ngks

The granetelli wires offer the lowest resistance and best quality to date to my knowledge, however the long term reliability is the biggest for me, that being said I'd rather stick with MSD or granetelli. Any new wire set can start at low ohms, over time though wires degrade, and this is where the quality comes into play

I'm sure many people already saw this...

http://www.ls1.com/forums/f63/tested...results-31657/

By the way... can you even get a LS4 specific set of the granatelli wires? IF so where? If not then which length/version does one buy?

Less ohm's does not translate into extra horsepower. The idea that increasing voltage to your spark plug is going to give you a better burn is moronic at best. It's analogous to starting a grill with a match vs a blowtorch and saying that your grill will burn hotter because you started it with a blowtorch. The spark plug is merely an igniter to start the burn of the fuel, once the fuel is ignited, the plug has no other purpose there. Denser fuel mixtures such as boosted or sprayed applications can have a harder time jumping the gap across the plug to create the spark, but 200 dollar spark plug wires are not the answer to fixing that problem, and they dont create extra horsepower, they merely would be correcting a problem that you caused by overpowering the original design of the plugs. Your not going to see that issue on an NA car. Like i said, they may be made very well, but you have to ask your self if they are going to warrant the price tag, since there are a million other cheaper brands between 40-75 dollars that are just as good quality. LS4 wires are standard 135 degree boot end LS wires.
