Default Quick question...

So I was cleaning my engine and fixing a oil leak via valve covers on the Monte and I noticed that the elbow on my pcv or at least I believe it's my pcv was cracked, see pic

I went to autozone to find a new one and they didn't have any so I ended up fabbing one up which is too big and I feel like air would be escaping it, so far I life up the pcv from the line closest to the maf and the engine did sputter but it didn't do it while hooked up so I guess it does justice for
Now, has anyone replaced this and off so, with what or how? I
Looked on rock auto and didn't see anything. I was gonna use some transmission line I had left but it seemed too small...

Gotcha, thanks boss, I noticed some kind of Greese on there I'm assuming to stop air from slipping through, what kind of Greese is that or do I even need any?

That's more than likely oil buildup.

So I have another question 91 and thank u for answering, I pushed it on the tube and it was hard but it did fit, anyhow my alternator seems to wanna smoke after starting the car for about 30
Mins or so then it stops. It is a reman from autozome and this is the second one I've gotten, cause the first did the same thing. This one didn't do it for maybe like a week or so, I'm not running any audio stuff, I do have my power cable still ran for my subs but no fuse in it, any idea where i should start?

I'm going to double look but I'm sure it's the alt just smoking, I changed the valve cover gaskets to see if that would make a difference cause I thought I may have had some oil leaking, which I did and cleaned it up. I flushed my power steering about a month ago and changed the alt and didn't see any signs of spillage on the alt it self. But I will double look
