lol right? It's a Pontiac GXP not a GTP with the supercharged 3.8. Half the time the LS4 motor was referred to as the LT4 which is not the same at all, and saying these cars are reliable are a joke they sell for cheap because they have horrible transmissions and lots of other issues that occur to most people like me before 100,000 miles!!! The aluminum 5.3 is fantastic though and these cars from a stop will walk away from alot of cars that are double the price which is probably why I haven't sold it for something better..yet

Yeah if he did he would of told you to set 3 grand aside for when the tranny grenades itself lol. Not to mention the abs/Trac control, and other problems I'm having all at 86k miles. Love that aluminum 5.3 though it's a screamer.

Thanks for the input guys. I have fixed the issues you pointed out. I can't believe I missed the fact that the actual name of the car (GXP) and the motor were wrong in several places. I also mentioned the transmission being the weak spot. Still I stand by Cory's assertion that these are a still nice performance bargain.

hey dont feel bad about your choice i like my impala i have 2 friends with gxp's and it seems like they put twice the bank in their car as i do, for instince brakes, they cost more to replace, have longer 60-0 distances and they wear out alot faster... long story short they are the same car but if you are looking for a weekend sports sedan that doesnt get drove much they are more fun, but we use our impala to take kids to school during the week then go make hemi charger owners cry on the weekend and get 33mpg on our trip to minneapolis taking my grandma to a funeral she is comfy in the seats...you have a good car i have 168k on mine and love it my friend has 84k on her gxp and the dash lights up like crazy her g force monitor among other things has a malfunction...etc...etc just thank yourself you didnt buy a charger
