I'm not a big PC guy but I'll see if I can get dyno numbers posted in the next day or two.

the dod fix is very simple.
stay below 28.5 degree's of timing, it does not like anything higher then this on 91-92 octane.
the rest is in yer shoes!

Nice! I don't want DoD either ... is your "Street Tune" going to be an official release?

Default DOD Eliminated

Johan from Diablo indicated to me that he would post the Tune for people who wanted DOD eliminated from their cars. I tested this Tune, and the car never ran faster.

Yes, the street and WOT tunes will be available as revision updates on our web site. They will be free downloads/upgrades, and I will post here when they become available.
Thanks guys.

I emailed you the dyno sheet, it has a stock pull compared to the street tune. Slightly larger gains will be seen on the WOT tune. Check out the gains under the curve, thats a solid improvement, not just peak power but power everywhere!
Let me know if you have any problems posting it.
Thanks
Mike

I noticed that on my MCSS compared to my Camaro SS. Although the MCSS has never matched a Z28 in performance ('85 - '88 MCSS -vs- IROC), they were always a strong example on the street. I personally owned a tweaked '85 MCSS in the '80's and '90's, and purchased this MCSS as an impulse buy because of my '85.

The Camaro pulls hard in your seat accelerating on road courses (or even highway on-ramps) through redline, it actually makes me drive it hard just to get the C6R in-car feel!!! My MCSS comes on like gang busters off the line but gets really lame after 3K.

The factory brochure says 0-60 in 5.6 seconds ... haven't had mine to the track yet. Wonder what's capable if it keeps pulling like the LS1???

Sign me up for the new tune!

Do you guys recommend a new MAF? I programmed my Camaro at the same time I put the new MAF on it, combo resulted in the seat of the pants feel.

Look at the A/F guys, one of those pulls is not WOT until after 4K rpm.

just checkin'... ;-)

thought they might have been in the new 8r01 download...

is there any chance you could also let me (us) know what the changes are between the normal/stock settings and the "street tune"? What got changed/modified?

such as:

adjusted such-n-such-n-such to get XX more HP
adjusted such-n-such to get xx more torque
adjusted such-n-such to remove this and that
adjusted such-n-such to firm up shifts
adjusted such-n-such to increase shift points to xxxx
such-n-such affects DOD
adjusted this to do that
etc etc...

It would help to know what was adjusted to do what, so that when we're trying to do our own custom tunes, we would know what controls what, and be able to know what to expect.

And while I'm asking too many questions... LOL... where can I find the OBDII connector on my 2006 Monte Carlo SS??

(no, I don't have the tuner yet - but working on it... just gathering all of this knowledge ahead of time... ;-) )

Default OBDII connector on a 2006 Monte Carlo SS

The OBDII connector on your vehicle is located below the dash to the left of the steering wheel in a plug in format.
