anyone familiar with programmers
However, does anyone know if the dealer would know if there was a different program in there? I would assume so, which is why Diablo tells you to reinstall the factory program should you need to go in for service.
Hypertech has said to restore the original tune before service but provided the reason that dealer diagnostic equipment expects the parameters to be within a set range and if there not, the diagnostic equipment could assume or indicate a problem exists within the system.
IMO it’s best to restore the factory tune to avoid any headaches with the dealer.
In reality the engine tune wise, its pretty hot from the factory believe it or not. Trims were pretty spot on, AFR was really close and timing was about around 27-28 * already. The tranny is pretty well protected by aggressive TM. But really the tranny tune up is the most and best part of what i did to me car using HP Tuner's. Made the shifts firm enough to feel, re arranged up shift points as well as down shift points and removed all TM except for leaving 40% in it on the 1-2 shift. But that alone made the car really fun to drive.
