You can get 'em pretty cheap, and they practically give them away on leases.
Chevy Imp will save you even more money, if you're looking for a 4-door for trans.

The G5 is a rebadged cobalt, granted it's much better then the cavalier it replaced, it's too small. The grandprix is a pretty good bang for the buck car. The 3.8L is a tried and true engine. I was going to get another supercharged 3.8L grandprix but I got a good deal on a GXP so I went that route. If you shop the year end close outs, you can get some good deals. I was able to get my Grandprix at invoice and then I was able to redeem $2,000 worth of GM card earnings on top of that. Brought the $30,500 sticker down to $25,000 (better then I could've done with my dad's GM discount).
Anyone who uses employee or company discounts is a moron; I beat those prices by thousands
Myself, I like the G6 sedan and think it would make a great daily driver. The coupe is certainly more "feminine". That's fine with me... leave the Firebird or GTO coupes for the guys and the girls can have the Grand Am/G6 coupes.

I like the G5 GT as well. It would make a nice little gas-saver.
I drive it alot, and beat on it a bit......I would go with a Import car over a G6, id rather own a SS super charged cobalt.
For looks, and as a NORMAL car its ok, has a great system in it and the seats are nice.
I have nothing else to say about it, Look into somthing else
