Default Drag radials and your computer

Has anybody ran drag radials with diff wheels that did not have the tire pressure moniter sensor (original valve stem) in the wheel? I'm sure it set tire pressure moniter warning light but was wondering if actually effected the traction control operation in an adverse way when launching.

i myself won't have this problem. {having an 05 does have it's benefits}
id say it would freak the ecm out when it is looking for those sensors. what will it do? not a freakin clue. i don't think it will keep the car from driving normally, just the cute lil annoying "DING"

if it doesn't receive the TPM signal from the wheels, it will just display the Service Tire Pressure Monitor System message in the DIC.

But if you run different diameter tires, front & back, it will confuse the computer and possibly cause ABS/TCS problems...i see what you're asking.

If the front's are rotating at a different rate than the rears, there will be a problem. Will it cause a driveability issue? I don't know. If you had a programmer, i bet you could fix that issue though.

if anything, it will shut the abs, and stability system off. like on a dyno. you have to wait for it to shut off before you go WOT. at least this is how it is on my 05. dunno bout the newer ones. you have to do this everytime you make a run.

I run my car everday so far for the past 3 months w/o TPM (winter wheels), works fine, i just hit clear the message from the DIC every time i start it.

I re calibrated the tire height for the speedo, it was a 1.5" diff as well.

well, since we don't have Stability Control, that's no biggie...

I ran Nitto 555's on 16" Monte wheels last fall. No ill effects except Service Tire Pressure Monitor System. Went back to normal when I put the factory wheels/ tires on.
