I got a new ACDelco as well and i sold it and replaced it with a yellow top. The yellow tops only have a 620 CCA but i have 2 of them. Plus they are deep cycle so the subwoofers wont kill them. Ive now installed my other amp and my car is pushing 3200 watts and the alt only makes 1500 watts or so :X

The red top is a better battery for everyday driving. Only get the yellow top if your going to be running your stuff with the car not turned on.

Yellow top is for being drained and replinished. AKA alt not being able to fully charge it after each use. AKA DEEP CYCLE.

If you have some subs, a yellow top is a good idea.

Ok so I just replaced what I thought was a bad battery with the most expensive battery known to man.

Well it wasn't the battery. I don't get it. We were able to jump it, which I thought ruled out a bad starter. But I still have the same problem, turn the key one single click and nothing.

The alts on these cars ( W-body ) are known to go out within the first 2 years, which will then put more stress on the battery and kill it aswell.

Have someone do a Vat* I Think thats the correct spelling * test on the car.

VATS = Vehicle AntiTheft System...if that's what you're asking. Yes, we have it...i had mine replaced when it wouldn't "learn" a new key.

I knew what it stood for, it just has different parameters on an fbody, so I was wondering if we still had it. It does weird things when engaged on an fbody like lock the transmission and the car just clicks when it tries to run over.
