Old school trunk emblem
I thought my car could use a little more SS heritage. I decided to add an "old school" trunk emblem instead of the bowtie. I wanted a set of crossed-flags but I couldn't find the perfect ones. Finally I did. What do you think?
The emblem is actually from the fuel door of a '78 vette.
The reflection makes it a little tough to see, but you get the idea.

unfortunately, I am computer illiterate, but if someone could find and post a fender emblem from a (searching memory) 1963 Impala (came with a 5.3L as well!), I think you would really like it. Had sorta a 'v' under it.

I wanted to keep the new SS emblems. It's supposed to be a throwback to the 60's when the Impala SS had the crossed flag emblems. These were the closest I could find that would blend in to the style of the existing emblems as well.

Try this, page 4.

Real nice stuff, but kind of pricey though.

That's what I was origionally thinking, but to me they just didn't flow with the modern badges already on the car. I wanted it to appear as if it came with this emblem on it. It took me a while to find this one. For me it's a keeper.

well, which is it? You want 'SS heritage' (and <random fact> before about '68 it was SuperSport, after, SS, which GM has never said stands for SuperSport in any ad or official capacity, until the '06 models!), but you pick badging from a 'vette (which off of a racetrack never had an SS model) and ignore vintage Impala badges. Your car, your choices and more power to you, but don't pick something that really is not what you were looking for. If 'SS' heritage is really what is important to you, get something different.

Sorry there's no SS 'Vette, so no SS heritage....I think its kinda corny to put on badges that don't even pertain to the car.
My A/C compressor runs loud (sounds like FI) , but I don't have a badge that says "Supercharged "

The crossed flags used to be on a lot of Chevys back in the day. They remain only on the Corvette these days so I can see why so many people think they're Corvette flags. I like the idea and love some of those old Impala badges. Too bad they're so pricey.

Or. . . .people could be thinking they are vette flags because in the first post you read:
