Default stock vs removed resonater

Here is a video of stock exhaust verses stock w/o resonator.I don't like the pinging right when you let out of it, but it dosen't ping while driving unless you down shift hard.

http://videos.streetfire.net/video/1...80010fa74c.htm

I'm thinking of putting on flowmaster super 40's here soon. Then it sould sound awesome.

For some reason these cars don't have a bark, but my MF cat back has a real nice rumble to it after 25K miles.

So much so the neighbor a couple down asked me what was in the car.

But I don't hear so well, after getting in a couple of gun fights w/o hearing protection, or is it the loud 90's music because I can't hear so well??

Whatever the case, I think others may hear more of the rumble.

But hey ... keep after it. If someone can duplicate the GMMG sound it would be great.

Has anyone thought of contacting them to do a chambered system?

Yep, that would help with sound and power. But until someone makes ones that fit and aren't to expensive I'm going to do mufflers and tcm programming.IF no company's come out with some part's to get us up to say 375hp at the crank I might just spray and call it done till my next car.I figure 375hp can let us still be reliabable and beat stock to lightly modded mustangs.

Agreed...they aren't too hard to beat even if you're stock. I've done it off a roll. The only real advantage they have from a dig is that they're RWD. They are just easier to launch. You can argue that a manual tranny is also better, but thats easily remedied with a tune and / or shift kit.

Oh yeah, don't let them catch you at the top of 2nd....just about anyone can beat us there...

X2....we have been asking for these since the BEGINNING! A company needs to step up.

Maybe its JMO, but true duals would be wicked on this car.

I'm not afraid of a stang. I ran one to 90 and he was equal to my car, but like Hexx said, a mini-van can beat these cars in second gear.

Yeah, what he said! I couldn't take that raspyness. Anyone with the magnaflow kit delete the res yet? I won't be the first, that's for sure!

Kissmyss has the magnaflow with deleted resonator. He say's he'd still like it louder....but I think he wants it REALLY loud.

According to what he's told me, he gets raspyness at cold start until the exhaust warms up for about 2 mins. He said it goes away after that.

I'm not sure if he gets that high rev raspy note that deleting the resonator causes when revving in neutral. I don't see why he wouldn't....it seems to be a common issue with removing the resonator.

To me it's worth it....when you're actually driving around, it sounds mean as hell with my flow 40's. You shouldn't be revving in neutral anyways....no good for the engine to rev under no load.

The stock mufflers where designed to work with the resonator, but your after market mufflers aren't cause most cars don't have them.I would think that a ls4 w/o resonator with mangnaflow would sound very close to a ls1 with mangnaflow.

I know what you mean, I might just hold off untill I can hear someone with the magnaflow system and a res delete, and then I will put it on. Untill then, its going to sit in the box and wait. I wont have a problem selling it, as I know alot of guys here would LOVE to have it.

KISSMYSS... Can you PM me a link to what your car sounds like?
