OK yeah that's what I was thinking was the little surge I was feeling was the change from 4-8 cyl mode.
And before this car I had a WRX and was into that mod scene. I had a COBB tuner and with that as long as you restore your factory programming to the computer before you take it in for service they will never be the wiser.

yeah, exactly... I only paid about $1,150 for mine... GM Major Guard (the bumper-to-bumper one), $0 deductible...

I paid $2750 for my 75,000 warranty w/a $200 deductible. So I got screwed?

I think you have a limited time to cancel the extended warranty. I paid 2 grand and got a 5 year 100k with no deductible. I just looked in the warranty book, you have 60 days after you got it for a full refund then it is prorated.

Glad I got the 07 for the warranty, lol! I don't notice the 4-8 change at all during city or highway driving. Honestly the gas milage stays around 15.7 but thats all city and the car still only has 2.5K miles on it. Good thing about living only 1 mile from work haha.

Unless you bought your car less than 6-months ago, and you have less than 12,000-miles, it would not be worth cancelling your warranty.
Warranties cost more money the older they are and the more miles they have on them. Right now, 2007 & 2008 models are the cheapest, followed by 2004-2006, 2002-2003, 2000-2001.
Cheapest warranties are on vehicles with 0-12,000, then it is broken down as follows, 12001-24000, 24001-36000. Anything with more than 36K or older than 2004 the minimum ded is $50.
But to give you an example, I typically sell a warranty at 100% profit, unless it is an GM Employee and then get it at 40% above cost. So if it costs me $840, I sell it at $1,680.

The Cam, Crankshaft, Lifters, Pistons, or any part lubricated with oil. So let me ask you, what do you think is more likely to break, an oil lubricated part or a Fuel, Electric, or Water system part? You got it, a fuel, water, or electrical part is more likely to fail, with the electrical system being the most likely of all.

What does the The Chevy 100,000-Mile Warranty include?
In general, the powertrain warranty covers the engine, transmission, transfer case and axle assemblies on light duty vehicles as indicated below:
* Engine

as far as the GM extended warranties go, it is... it's the one that covers the most.
don't know of an "extended" warranty that is truly "bumper-to-bumper", covering items like a new car 3yr/36k b-2-b warranty does.

My warranty was a little higher because i don't have a deductable.... Makes it easyer for me on those trips where they go "we cannot duplicate" blah blah. It was a must in my situation.
