W body downpipe
W body downpipe So I saw a thread on it before, but now I can't seem to find it. So . . . I just started this one. Someone posted a link for the catted W-body downpipe, I followed it and emailed the store a question on a common issue. Results:

It seems hit and miss. Some cars throw a code here and there while others don't ever. The good news is that we have extenders for the rear o2 that help trick the PCM into thinking there is no problem.

I understand you, and while I agree with you. . .my main question was about the extender. . .I wasn't explicit enough. I didn't know if the extender worked or what it was. . .it doesn't make sense to me. I don't have a laptop, so an HP tuner isn't real freindly for me. . so I am looking for other options to increase performance without needing an HP to take care of codes and such.
Maybe Curt could tell you about the extender? Also, its just not the P0420 code you will throw, but any bank 1 sensor 2 codes will be thrown aswell. There is a long list of them.
If you need a laptop, I have one cheap I am willing to sell to you. Trust me, you are going to need codes deleted sooner then later if you go with a high flow cat downpipe.
