They do a great job, from what i hear...but if you go to a dealer and don't have a spare, stock PCM to slap in there...their tune could possibly be overwritten and you'd need to send the PCM back to them to get it retuned (which would be free, but a PITA).

I had my old 06 Impala SS and my current 07 Trailblazer SS tuned there. I live about an hour away and go there for some tweaks here and there for no charge after paying for the initial tune. I think highly of Kirk who does the tuning there.

They lock there tune some how so you can't import it into HP Tuners, that would be one down fall.

That kinda sucks, but I would hope that it would be spot on if I payed for it, I wouldn't want to go in there and change it.

Vector is good.

Here are just SOME of the extensive changes we made to the GXP ECM/TCM in the name of more power, reliability and drivability:
• Proprietary extensive fuel and spark mapping.
• Remove top speed limiter
• Firmer part and full throttle shifts.
• Revised up and down shift points to take advantage of the engines RPM band and newfound power; no more having to tap shift in the quarter or short shifting in drive.
• Proprietary torque management adjustment - there is still important torque management in the transmission calibration.
• End users have reported an increase in fuel economy (Your mileage may vary)

Most users report a gain of around two miles per gallon when using 91 or 93 octane fuel as well as 15-20+ wheel horserpower on our Mustang Dyno! This is one of the easist mods you can make to your LS4 equipped W-body that also yields the most performance per dollar. We also have specific tunes for most aftermarket intakes for this vehicle as well!
I would be curious to see the config and see what they actually changed for there tune.

I would be most interested in this....I know every car is different, but i would like something to work from in the area of a performance tune.

I remember my Impala seemed to have a "turbo lag" feel to it after the shifts, it was gone after the vector tune. It went 135 mph, before I let off, before the tune, but the top speed can be adjusted to any speed if you want but you have to tell them. If you get the vector tune, have them increase the trans line pressure. After installing a shift kit in my Impala it had a shudder on wot shifts that was eliminated by increasing wot trans line pressure (and the insight of badss).

Kirk at Vector has been tuning my cars for over 10 yrs. The man knows his stuff. I don't know about this tuned pcm though. If Kirk does it, it should be worth the $$$.
