I love my GXP and all...but RWD with 362hp and near 50/50 weight distribution will be so much more fun to drive!! But personally, I'm gonna wait until 2009 for the G8 GXP. LS3 baby!

Sorry no comparison. FWD vs RWD ANNND Stick! You can make anything go fast man....even a 4000lb vehicle. That .8 isn't going to make much of a difference anyways. What's it going to be like a 30hp advantage pound for pound ...if that? Not to mention how much more power is going to get to the wheels with a 6 speed and manual. I don't believe it's going to weigh that much anyways is it? I thought it was more in the 3800-3900 range....unless you're just rounding off of course.
Just as alex said, it's going to be 10x more fun to drive.

The G8 GT power rating is also with the 87 octane tune. There are numerous forum threads that show a Aussy version of the same car and same engine putting down an additional 40 WHP on a dyno with just an Intake, Tune, and catback system. I wish we could say the same thing about the GXPs/SS twins. They are running the vehicles with the above mentioned mods at high 12's pulling 106+ trap speeds for under $800 in mods.

Check out this link http://www.gmhightechperformance.com..._g8/index.html
Speaking of fuel, the L76 in the G8 is calibrated to unleash an astounding 362 hp on regular fuel. This is a dream come true for tuners, who will likely be able to wring over 40 hp by simply tweaking the fueling and spark to use high-test premium gasoline.

it is cleaner. I'll give you that. But the pontiac gxp looks more aggressive. The only thing I'd change on the pontiac would be making the chrome edge around the grille black instead.
