Here's some better pics of the bowtie...forgive the condition of the car...it just snowed pretty good and the car is a mess. I don't really know how i feel about it. I temporarily stuck it to the trunk and to the SS on the front with 3M tape...and neither look great, imo. I like it on the front more than on the trunk...no need for double "SS" back there...but i still like the big SS on the front more. The camera went dead before i was able to snap some shots of the dirty wheels with the new black bowtie centercap overlays...but i'll try to get some of those later today.

Those overlays look pretty cool. The only thingI did with my badges was paint the front bowtie black and replaced the trunk bowtie with a crossed flags emblem. I liked the crossed flags from the 60's impala ss's, so I put one on my ride. Some people like it, some don't. I do, so it stays.

WNY...where did you get yours...i've been considering that, or the standard impala-in-an-oval emblem back there...but didn't decide which. I heard those vintage logos are REAL expensive, though.
Here are the centercap bowtie overlays from Grafxwerks:

As for the bowties, you can buy them now at Grafxwerks in your choice of color, w/ or w/o the SS insert.
EDIT: Fixed photo links

Thanks Buff, I found the crossed flags emblem on ebay. The actual ones from the 60's were cool, but they didn't flow with the modern badges that are already on the car. The one I used is actually from a 78 vette. I just think it fits better with the existing badges. I know it caused a little debate back in july when I first posted the pics, but I've been getting alot of compliments on it since. I found it on bay (where else), all I had to do was grind off the mounting posts, add some 3M tape and apply. Buff, i really dig those center cap overlays. I'll definately have to get those for my summer wheels. (I found a set of machined ss rims for the winter) Let me know how durable they are and how much$$

Yeah, now i remember the discussion about the flags...thanks.
I installed the centercap overlays a couple days ago when it felt like it was 0*F outside, so they may not hold up as well as they should...but they're still on today
I'm sure i'll have to hit an autowash sometime soon, so if they hold up to that blast of water, i'll be happy.
You can get them at grafxwerks...they range from $10 for a basic one-color setup, to $19 for one with an outline using reflective vinyl.

I used the smallest weedeater line i could find and blowdryer. and for the adhesive i used basicly nail polish remover some stuff that came with my dent removal kit to get the adhesive off. The lettering came off so easy that i bet if i hooked it with a wash rag just right it would rip right off.
