Turbo GXP @ the Dyno.....
Ok, so we wanted to see what the kit was doing HP wise so we went to the dyno. Did some pulls and we noticed a problem that we are looking into right now. The curve as you can see below climbs really nice then at 5400rpm it just takes a dive. We are investigating this as it would be nice to rev all the way to 6000rpm but right now Kevin changed the shift points to around 5400rpm so that we don't loose any power and let me tell you....
This car is a ROCKET!!! If we would have known it was doing this at the track we would of had much better times, can't wait till spring!!!This is with only a Cartuning kit bolted on, and on my car I still have the prototype crossover which has less flow then a production one and no ceramic coating either.
On the 6th pull at 12PSI we got 467.85whp/449.39ft. lbs @5400rpm Can you say highest HP 04+ Grand Prix??????
The kit will ship set to 9psi and we got 421.13whp/408.46ft. lbs however the printer crapped out I could only get 1 printout
when we go back to the dyno I'll get the 9psi printout.Let me tell you, this is extremely amazing for a bolt on kit!

MUCH different then a V6 turbo Grand Prix.
The issue in the middle there, the dyno operator said it could be torque converter related, we're not sure. I'm sending my car to the shop over the holidays to beef up the trans since I'll be away for 2 weeks may as well take this opportunity to get that done so it doesn't break on me. We're pushing for well over 500whp and some quick times at the track next year so at that level, trans sure is going to see some help.
