Default Rush of liquid noise in dash

Hey guys. When I first got my car I would rarely get this sound of rushing liquid in my dash board when I would accelerate normally from a cold start. Lately the problem seems to be getting more and more often to the point where it will do it even from a warm start. I've read about others having this issue in the past...but I never heard about it again. Has anyone figured out what causes this?

There was a TSB about this issue. I read about it a while back. Grand Prix GXP's were having this issue too. I am looking for it, but so far can't find it.

Probably air in the heater core. Mine had the same problem but eventually it works itself out how many miles do you have ?

Well, like I said, the problem has gotten worse...so I don't know about "working itself out" in my case. I have about 19-20k on my car. Yeah mike, if you find it let me know. That would be good information to give the dealership!

Give your car some cold meds and a tissue.

Have the car blow really hard into the tissue.

Wipe off the nose and you will be all set.

Mine does this too. Does this mean we need to change the heater hoses? If it's harmless, then it can gurgle away.
Thanks,
BJ

I had this issue and noticed that my coolant overflow was really low. Don't know where it went, but added some to overflow and checked the radiator. Needed to add a small amount, and after about a week it was back to its quiet self.

We had the same problem with our '04 Monte SS. I added a little dexcool to the overflow (and I do mean a little) and the problem has gone away. It's worth a shot.

My wifes 04 gp had this problem. It went away when i checked the overflow and found that it was empty. I filled it up and the noise soon went away. Mine "consumes" coolant so i've got some other issues as well.

I'll check out the overflow tank guys. That might just be it. The sound was happening A LOT yesterday morning....Any time I would accelerate from a stop it would do it. Very annoying.

haha...not lazy...I'm just a post *****...and btw, it does look like it needs some dexcool in there. Hopefully that'll solve the problem.
