lol dont try to justify your self getting one of those cars!

But decent 4T65E info, alot of those parts are out of reach of any of us cost and availabilty wise.

I got my selfa nice ATSG service manual for these trannys and im seriously considering the chain swap, its actually pretty cake. Hardest par is removal it looks like.

What would the chain swap bring our tranny's?

Only really usefull under higher horsepower applications due to the streching and breaking of the chains. IF you strech it to far you will get slack and when you hit the gas it will cetch the slack and break

well it wasn't for the ecotec based deal. it was more for the transmission side of it. wha parts get changed to sustain X amount of power. break down of parts inside the tranny, hard parts, what parts stayed stock. little things here and there. i don't ever plan on sticking an auto in my cobalt. i just figured some people here going for big power would like to see what gm did to the trans to handle it.

I thought changing the gear ratio required a final gear swap....I mean, it is a GEAR ratio...not gear/chain ratio. Or are you just saying there are more gear ratio options with the swapped chain?
