Does anyone's alarm go when you pop trunk? Ever since mother winter started, almost every other time i pop my trunk with the remote and the car is still locked, when i pull the trunk lid up my dam alarm goes off. Never did it before and decided to do it now. And i am sure one could imagine how freaking annoying it can get specially when its super early in morning, in crowded parking lot, at mall, heck even after church and everyone has to look at you like is this guy stealing that car, is this guy retarded and cant open his car, or shut off that fn car ja. I am just guessing i might need a sprits of lube or something on the latching mechanism or something easy like that.

mine does that - always has.. if the alarm is armed, and I pop the trunk, the alarm goes off...
think about it... if your car is armed, and someone breaks into your trunk, the alarm should go off...

mine still does... even with the remote... that's the only way to open the trunk on the Monte's...

Yeah i know it something that if it keeps doing it, ill just take it to the dealer, but what gets me is why for almost a whole year it never does it, then all of sudden past month starts going off?

Take it to the dealer NOW when it is actually doing it, otherwise if you wait till spring and it only does it ever-now-and-then, they might not find the problem, and have to take it back repeatidly. I own an 06 MC SS and I can pop the trunk w/o any troubles with the alarm going off, even if I don't unlock it first.
