I am hoping this wasnt a thread that is all talk and no show. I would still wait for the headers coming from another company with a solid reputation and a large backing.

Hey guys..sorry..busy with work issues...
It is looking more like 4th quarter 2008 for these. The shop is busy with prior commitments, so we are going to be a few months out.
I was hoping for sooner. Hopefully things will change for the better.

1200 is way too much. shorty headers are cheaper than long tube. i would think around 500 at the most

1200 is way too much. shorty headers are cheaper than long tube, and there is no possible way to put long tube headers on this front wheel drive. i would like some headers for my ls4 but i was thinking around 300-600. for 1200 i could buy almost 1/2 of a supercharger/turbo

I was soooooooo close to dropping the hammer at xmas time and getting them custom made. The guy was going to powder coat them, fab, install for $1300 I just could not justify the price for the build of the headers.

Thats going to be cheap at best untill either someone steps up and does a bulk order like milzy at MMS was going to do for us if we got enough people ( 800-900 ) range or until another company comes through

Well, I could fab up some ported manifolds... I have done them for the 3800 crowd and it helped with the knock retard on the cars so I am sure they flow a lot better. Just an idea... One set would take me between 4 - 6 hours to do. I am plannimg on contacting Ed Morad to get a factory set to practice on. Any thoughts?

I'd be interested to see what kinds of gains we'd see.

The price is so high because overall demand outside car communities such as this is very low. Headers on these cars aren't the same on f-bodies and y-bodies, it will change sound before any huge gains in performance....15-20HP with all other supporting mods and tuned?

I wonder if you took a pair of Vortec 5.3 headers and shorten them if it would work. Well, the front might work be the ******* rear wouldnt... Ok never mind that idea. They guys at Kooks said 2k for headers, but they would need someone car to do it. I am almost to the point where I am willing to pay someone to drop off there car so kooks could do it and I could get a pair aswell.

I guess this is the main thing that upsets me the most is the lack of support for these LS4 cars. Hmmm, Maybe I need to get into the aftermarket parts for LS4 only cars ) Anyone wanna join and help???

What are you guys running as far as catbacks? I see from your sigs that magnaflow and custom are common practices..
Understood re: matching or hogan dp

Rear header install difficulty level is going to be interesting. Not a whole lot of room up there. Hopefully no worse than pass side F-Body installations.

Quality will be maintained.. No point in going thru this effort for a sub-par product.

My next step is to get my impala up on a lift, measure it out.
I think all of this feedback will be helpful in bringing this to market...
Wish me luck. I'll post my progress on this thread......

In case everyone hasn't heard what MagnaFlows sound like on a 2006 Impala SS:

http://www.magnaflow.com/04sound/04american.asp

Scroll about 1/2 way down the page to find the Impala, then click on view under video file.

I too would be interested in a set of headers. But I will wait till there are a few people running them 1st. And also hearing a large reputable company is developing a set I would be more inclined to wait to see who and what there clams are. As well as peoples experences with those as well.
